Butterfly Roof Mid-Century Modern House - The iconic butterfly roof is one of the classics as seen in modernist neighborhoods. Note the details of the classic hi-fi, hanging pendant lamps, sputnik light, cool bar and modernist fireplace. The modern butterfly roof is commonly credited to be the creation of William Krisel and Dan Palmer in the late 1950s in Palm Springs, California.
