NXNW Mid-Century Modern Desert Cliff House 2. A swinging party is going on as guests arrive in a classic car of the era. Perched high on a cliff with a modernist fireplace and floor to ceilng windows. The desert colors and autumn shades all play into a warm palette for a very cool house party. This illustration was inspired by the striking scenes in Alfred Hitchcock's Movie masterpiece "North By Northwest". Although the house used in that movie was simply a mat painting, it still engaged my imagination. Art by Diane Dempsey.
